What this check looks at
It reads the file bytes to name the format, then measures width, height, and the longest side. It samples border pixels for RGB 255, 255, 255, and it estimates how much of the frame a product may fill when the border looks uniformly white. Width, height, and area are separate estimates. The 85% note uses the larger side of that box as approximate framing guidance. A tall or wide product can fill the frame without covering 85% of the area. No published source defines that comparison as Amazon's measurement method.

What this check does not do
It does not approve a listing, remove a background, or decide whether a photo meets every category rule. White padding cannot turn a busy background into a white one. Private background removal is not available. The $9 Pro unlock does not include it.
