Privacy

SelfShot processes your photos entirely in your browser. When you add images, they are decoded, resized, padded, compressed, and exported on your own device. They are never uploaded to a server, and SelfShot has no copy of them.

What is stored on a server

The only server-side data is the content site: blog posts, the newsletter email addresses you choose to submit, messages you send through the contact form, and, if you opt in, your email and answers on an interest list for a proposed future feature. Interest list signup is not a newsletter subscription. These are stored with Supabase. Image processing uses no server at all, and the interest form never sends photos.

Analytics and cookies

SelfShot is cookieless by default. If privacy-friendly analytics are enabled by the site operator, they are configured to run without cookies. Advertising, and the consent prompt it requires, is only present if the operator turns ads on.

Payments

Paying for Pro is handled by Stripe on their own checkout page. SelfShot never sees or stores your card details. Stripe holds your email and payment record as the payment processor. If you were signed in when you bought, this site records which account owns the purchase, together with the Stripe references it needs to show your plan and your receipts. If you bought without an account, it keeps a signed unlock token in that browser instead, which is sent back here about once a day on a recurring plan so a cancelled plan stops unlocking Pro.

Seeing and deleting your data

Signing in at the account page shows everything this site keeps in your browser and lets you erase it, along with your plan and your payments. From there you can also delete your newsletter subscription, any interest-list signup, and any messages you sent, once your email address is confirmed. To have those removed otherwise, ask on the contact page and it will be deleted.
